Serve Others When You Are Having A Hard Time

I was feeling frustrated today after a hard time at work, when everything seemed to be going wrong. My worries about the future of our great country were weighing me down as well. A message arrived from my sister in which she expressed similar concerns. Driving home on the crowded freeway I felt down and discouraged. I wanted to feel more positive about the future and yet there is so much negative around us.

Then I watched this short video from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It shows two men with problems of their own; one who just lost his job and another with physical limitations.

Tears came to my eyes as I realized how much I have to be thankful for and how much good there is in the world in addition to the bad. This video turned me around and I immediately found something to do for someone else in the way of service to them.

It is true. By turning my attention outward towards others, I felt more positive about life and the world around me. It helped me put my problems in perspective.

Obama announced today that he now fears our currency rates may be a problem for the US as we consider exporting US goods to China and other foreign countries.

Duh!!!! Was Obama sleeping in his economics classes at Harvard?

Obama and the liberals are destroying the US economy by spending money, borrowing more, and then printing new money with nothing to back it up.

Now all of a sudden he realizes that he is destroying the value of the US Dollar.

During his state of the union address he mentioned that he wanted to take the money that the banks had repaid to the federal govenment and spend it somewhere else.

Democrats Still Think We Can Spend Our Way to Prosperity

I read today that Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.), the House majority whip said that "we must spend our way out of this recession".

What planet is that guy living on?

If my family is in debt spending is the last thing I need to do. Why does he think that spending more money will get anyone out of debt?
