Al Gore Found! - Wearing Snowboots - Still Defending His Global Warming Peace Prize -

My old boss used to tell me that there are three kinds of people: Lazy, Ignorant, and Stupid.

Many in our society are Lazy.  They simply lack the motivation to do things on their own.  They need to be encouraged to do the right thing.  And until they are motivated by something or someone, they do little or nothing.  It puts a big burden on the rest of society as they not only have to do their own part, but they must carry the burden of motivating and encouraging the lazy people of the earth.

Next is Ignorant.  The ignorant have simply not learned the truth.  They just need to be taught.  Most of us are in that group at one point or another in our lives.    There is no shame in not knowing things if you had not had the opportunity to learn them.

Now we come to Stupid.  Stupid people are incapable of learning.  Not only that, but once they have been taught, they do the wrong thing anyway.

Let me give you a few examples of each.

Lazy - A father who stays at home watching TV because it is easier to accept welfare than to go out and look for a job is Lazy.  He is likely teaching his children to be lazy as well.  He is a burden to society.  Maybe someday his poor wife will be able to motivate him enough to go out and at least apply for a job, but then he will not likely follow up on any leads and would be late for the job interview because he slept in after his alarm went off.

A student who goes to the library to learn about a subject in preparation for a class is ignorant.  He lacks knowledge.  Since this ignorant student is going to the library he is not a burden to society.  He will most likely succeed in what he attempts because he is motivated to learn.

Next we have Al Gore.  He is the perfect example of Stupid.  When he was young he was ignorant, and his parents forced him to go to school.  He barely managed to pass, thanks to the encouragement of others.  Al Gore is a special case, because he is also Lazy.  Instead of working hard like everyone else, he chooses to sit back and leech off the efforts of others.  He has become rich by selling Carbon Credits to other Stupid people.  Even though he has known all along that Global Warming was not caused by man, he refused to accept the truth.  That is Stupid.  Now as the evidence continues to pile up against him, he continues to preach his lies.

On February 27, Al Gore prepared a speech which the New York Times swollowed up like a hungry seal enhales a sardine.  It must have been a slow day for them and they needed to fill a few columns.  Al Gore poked his head out of his mansion long enough to see the shadow of nature's variation in winter weather, and he ducked back in faster than Punxsutawney Phil.  He admits that he and his Global Warmists have made some mistakes but he still stands by his Stupidity.  Check out the link below.

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/02/28/opinion/28gore.html

I wouldn't mind it if Al Gore and his Stupid friends kept to themselves. I don't mind him winning the Nobel Peace Price for his book, his movie and his speeches.  But these people are raising our taxes and hurting businesses.  They are stealing from the poor and producing more Carbon in a day with their jets and their mansions and their caravans, than any of us would produce in a year.  (Check out my previous blogs in August and November 2009 to see what I mean.)  These stupid people need to be stopped.... and the sooner the better.  As long as they keep preaching their Global Warming Religion and stupid politions and others keep giving them money, we will all come out losers.

Senate Democrats' Blatant Hypocrisy Unveiled - Damning Evidence and Testimony From Their Own Lips

In 2005 the Democrats had a tantrum when the Republican Majority threatened them with what was termed "The Nuclear Option".  Now that the tables are turned and the Democrats have the majority, the same thing is happening in reverse.....

Only today, these same Democrat Senators seem to have forgotten all the reasons and emotion and claims they presented back then...

While all of these video clips (click on link below) are damning, pay special attention to Joe Biden when he states:

"I pray God when the Democrats take back control we don't make the kind of naked power grab you are doing."

A Touching Story From Gordon B. Hinckley

I watched this video this Sunday evening after dinner and it touched my heart.  I hope it does yours as well.  It is a story told by the Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley from a book by his father.

Childhood Memories of Early Dr. Seuss Books

The other day I made a comment to some friends at work about Oobleck.  They did not know what I was talking about.  When I questioned them further about some of my favorite old Dr. Seuss books they looked at me with blank stares.  They had never heard of Bartholomew and the Oobleck or any of the older Bartholomew stories that Dr. Seuss wrote so many years ago.          Theodore Seuss Geisel was born on March 2, 1904 and wrote under the pen name of Dr. Seuss.  He was an American writer and cartoonist most widely known for his children's books.  He published over 60 children's books the most famous of which included "Green Eggs and Ham", "The Cat in the Hat", and "One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish".

Apparently there are many people who are not aware of the first series of books he wrote around the time of WWII.  Dr. Seuss's first children's book was called "And to Think That I Saw It on Mulberrry Street" written in 1937.  Within a fairly short time Dr. Seuss wrote three books featuring my favorite character, Bartholomew Cubbins.  The first of these was called "The 500 Hats of Bartholomew Cubbins" about a poor peasant boy who lived under the shadow of the kings palace.  One day on the way to the market Bartholomew is arrested for refusing to take his hat off for the king.  In reality each time he removed his hat a new one appeared on his head until he removes 500 hats in all.  It is a great story with wonderful artwork, which is traditional of Dr. Seuss.

In 1939 Dr. Seuss wrote another story about Bartholomew called "The King's Stilts". This time he was a page boy who worked for the king of a land surrounded by the ocean.  The kingdom was protected from the sea by hundreds of trees with tangled roots which some buzzards loved to eat.  The king had an army of special cats that kept the birds away but it required daily vigilance to protect the tree roots.  The king loved to ride his tall red stilts when he went each day with the cats to guard the trees.  The stilts are stolen by an evil man who believes it is undignified for the king to run around on stilts.  Bartholomew saves the day and the kingdom from flooding when he recovers the stilts and returns them to the king.  Another great story that I will always remember.

Following WWII Dr, Seuss wrote a third book around the character of Bartholomew Cubbins.  This book was called "Bartholomew and the Oobleck".  In this wonderful story a proud king is unhappy with the normal weather he has in his kingdom.  He orders his magicians to conjure up something new.  What they come up with is a green sticky goo called Oobleck which falls from the sky.  Eventually it brings the entire kingdom to a stop as everyone and everything gets stuck.  When the king himself gets stuck in Oobleck he finally realizes how wrong he was and says "I'm Sorry".  The Oobleck immediately melts away leaving the kingdom with the four normal seasons and a happy king.  One of my favorite parts is the chant spoken by the magicians in their dark cave deep within a mountain.

In his later years, Dr. Seuss wrote a lot of smaller books with silly rhyming words.  These books were very different than his early books which were written in prose.  But for some reason, the silly rhyming books seem to be the ones for which he is most remembered.  I am grateful that I was raised by parents who encouraged me to read and enjoy these wonderful books.  I will always remember them.

US Navy Ceremonial Guard Silent Drill Team

I currently have two sons in the US Navy so I was interested when my father-in-law sent me this link to a short video of the US Navy Silent Drill Team's performance at a NATO competition in Norway in which the US team took first place. Check out the video and you will see why!

Serve Others When You Are Having A Hard Time

I was feeling frustrated today after a hard time at work, when everything seemed to be going wrong. My worries about the future of our great country were weighing me down as well. A message arrived from my sister in which she expressed similar concerns. Driving home on the crowded freeway I felt down and discouraged. I wanted to feel more positive about the future and yet there is so much negative around us.

Then I watched this short video from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It shows two men with problems of their own; one who just lost his job and another with physical limitations.

Tears came to my eyes as I realized how much I have to be thankful for and how much good there is in the world in addition to the bad. This video turned me around and I immediately found something to do for someone else in the way of service to them.

It is true. By turning my attention outward towards others, I felt more positive about life and the world around me. It helped me put my problems in perspective.

Obama Missed Econ 101 at Harvard

Obama announced today that he now fears our currency rates may be a problem for the US as we consider exporting US goods to China and other foreign countries.

Duh!!!! Was Obama sleeping in his economics classes at Harvard?

Obama and the liberals are destroying the US economy by spending money, borrowing more, and then printing new money with nothing to back it up.

Now all of a sudden he realizes that he is destroying the value of the US Dollar.

During his state of the union address he mentioned that he wanted to take the money that the banks had repaid to the federal govenment and spend it somewhere else.

Spend, Spend, Spend, Spend, Spend!!!!!

Has Obama lost his mind?

Canadian Premier Danny Williams Comes to US For Heart Surgery

What does this tell you about all the lies you have been hearing from the Left about how good socialized medicine is in Europe, the UK and Canada?

This is proof that no matter how bad Obama and the Left claim the medical system is in the US, it is the best system in the entire world!

Don't let these misguided people destroy what we have!

Democrats Still Think We Can Spend Our Way to Prosperity

I read today that Rep. James Clyburn (D-S.C.), the House majority whip said that "we must spend our way out of this recession".

What planet is that guy living on?

If my family is in debt spending is the last thing I need to do. Why does he think that spending more money will get anyone out of debt?

Take a look as this short video as good ole Fred Thompson discusses this very same topic.

Just so you don't think I am making all this up, here is the link where Clyburn actually promotes spending to get us out of this mess.
