At 10:35 am on December 17, 1903, a man named John Daniels from the Lifesaving Station at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, took one of the most famous photographs in the history of the world. Orville Wright was at the controls of the first powered airplane while his older brother Wilbur ran along side. Wilbur had just let go of the wing when John squeezed the bulb and took the picture. The first flight was 120 feet in 12 seconds. These men are two of my engineering heros.
